Suddenelfilio.net is now using the Disqus commenting system for all comments. I’ve tried to import as many existing comments as possible but they may not all have been imported. From now on you can comment using your Disqus, Twitter, Facebook or OpenID account. Hope to see some comments

Suddenelfilio.net is participating with Earth Hour 2010

This year suddenelfilio.net will participate with Earth Hour using the Earth Hour WordPress plugin created by BraveNewCode.com. On March 27th 8:30 pm the website will show the following message:

Ofcourse some of the text will be different because it uses dynamic counters. But you get the picture So if you are running on a WordPress system why not participate and install the plugin which will do the heavy lifting for you!

Finally: an update

After a rather long beta 1 period there is now a new beta version available of the Windows Live Writer. I already gave up on this nifty piece of software because it seemed to have died silently. But then out of the blue I saw a posting that said a new version was released. I’ve downloaded it, installed it and now am posting this post with it. It looks “nicer” and it seems to be more intuitive now.

BlogEngine.Net Released

Today I saw the notice of the first official release of the freely available blogengine.net. I already installed it once when it was in the alpha/bèta phase. Back then I saw the potentials and definitly the ease of customizing and integrating it. Nowadays when I look at the features list as well as the roadmap for the next versions to come it already looks a lot more advanced. I still have to download the release version to see if they’ve managed to keep the simplicity the project had when I tested it a while ago. I hope they really do, because that will be their stronghold in compairison with other engines. Anyways enough said –>

I’ve been able to import my posts from the old blog. However I’ve lost all the comments and tags on them. I also have to edit those that are layed out incorrect and assign the proper categories to them.

New blog and yes I am a traitor to my religion

Altough I’m a strong believer of the .Net evangely I have switched blogging engines from community server (100% .net) to WordPress (PHP & MySql). It’s because I feel limited by the community server features and it still does not achieve the same level usability as WordPress does. So here we are. I’m going to look for a way to import my posts from CS to WP, but that might take a while because I’m still investigating this.
